Process

This is how the first 30 days go, week by week

People's biggest hesitation is not price, it is uncertainty: "what will he ask of me, when will things happen, what do I have to do?" The answers are all below. This plan is written for the Brand Site package; smaller packages take less time, comprehensive ones more.

Week 0Call

What I do

  • A half-hour introduction. I listen to what you sell, who you sell it to and where you are stuck.
  • If I think we are a fit, I send the scope and price in writing. If I don't, I say so and it ends there.

What I will ask of you

  • Just showing me the material you already have (site, catalogue, photographs) is enough.
Week 1Setup and skeleton

What I do

  • Infrastructure is set up, domain and email connected.
  • The page structure is drawn up: which pages exist, which one says what.
  • We decide how the product/service data will be organised.

What I will ask of you

  • Domain access
  • Product list (Excel or an export from your current system)
  • Logo and any brand files
Weeks 2–3Design and content

What I do

  • The home page and product page are designed and shown to you.
  • Copy is written and product descriptions are arranged.
  • The photo layout is built; if anything is missing a shooting plan is drawn up.

What I will ask of you

  • Product photographs (or the products to shoot)
  • Company details, contact, legal information
  • Your feedback on the first design — in one batch
Weeks 3–4Selling system

What I do

  • The payment, shipping and returns flow is built and tested.
  • Email automations are written and switched on.
  • Measurement code is installed — so you can see what is working.

What I will ask of you

  • Virtual POS / payment account details
  • Your shipping arrangement
  • Decisions on your returns and delivery terms
End of week 4Launch and handover

What I do

  • The site goes live and an end-to-end order test is run.
  • I hold a session explaining how the site is to be managed.
  • Every account in your name; you hold the passwords.

What I will ask of you

  • Attending a one-hour handover session.

The one thing that stretches the timeline

To date I have never been the one who caused a delay; every delay came out of content: the product photo that never arrived, the copy that never got settled, the returns policy nobody decided on. That is why I give you the "what I will ask of you" list up front — let us know what you have before the work starts.

If you have none of it, that is fine too; then we bring content production into scope as well, but we discuss that up front and write it into the price. I don't spring surprises later.

After it goes live

Launching the site is not the end of the work but the beginning. The first orders arrive, something jams, ads get tested, marketplaces are entered. In this period you have two options:

You run it yourself. In the handover session I explain everything, and the accounts are yours. You can ask whenever you get stuck.

Or you leave it to me. With monthly management the updates, new products, campaigns and monthly report are on me. Where we work on revenue share this is already in my own interest — the site growing suits us both.

Let's talk before we start

I look at your brand and tell you what can be done — I don't charge for that.
