The latitude and the season change — the shadows turn with the real sun angle
The shadows were not placed "to look nice": for the chosen latitude, day and hour the height and azimuth angle of the sun are computed and the light is placed accordingly. The very same calculation architecture practices make for shadow and daylight studies on a neighbouring plot.
